DEFINITION: The Registered Nurse, utilizing theoretical concepts as a basis for decisions in practice, will assess, plan, implement and evaluate individualized nursing care in accordance with standards of nursing practice for adult/geriatric patients. DEFINITION: The Surgical Technician handles the instruments, supplies and equipment utilized during the surgical procedure. The technologist must understand the procedure being performed and anticipate the needs of the surgeon. The Surgical Technician conveys instruments and supplies to the surgeon, assists the surgeon as necessary, and is responsible for maintenance of the sterile field.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED); Graduation from a surgical technology training program or related training and/or experience; Must possess Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification for Healthcare Providers.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Previous Operating Room experience desired, especially in Orthopedics, but not mandatory.

Nurse Assistant

MRI Technologist

DEFINITION: Under the supervision of the MRI Supervisor/Radiologist, the MRI Technologist shall be responsible for performing imaging procedures as prescribed by the Physicians under the direction of a Radiologist while maintaining any licensing, continuing education and abiding by all State and Federal safety regulations as required by law, and in accordance with the established policies and procedures of McBride Orthopedic Hospital. The MRI Technologist should be demonstrate wise use of time, energy, and resources to function within the confines of the approved budget for the MRI Department and perform all work according to the mission, vision and values of McBride. 

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: ARRT Certification in Radiology Technology from a practical or vocational school. Must possess Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification for Healthcare Providers within 30 days of hire.

DEFINITION: The Physician Assistant is a state licensed, mid-level practitioner responsible for primary healthcare services to patients in the physician practice setting and hospital in accordance with established policies and procedures of McBride Orthopedic Hospital.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: The Physician Assistant must be a graduate of a Physician Assistant Program accredited by the American Association's Council on Medical Education. The PA must be be registered with the DEA and OSBNDD. Must possess Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification for Healthcare Providers. Possess or be willing to obtain Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Certification.
